Mr. Fares Ksebati is a scholar-athlete at Wayne State University. Elected team captain of the Varsity swimming & diving program in his senior season, he led the team to its third consecutive conference title. Academically, he recently received the Dean’s award for having the highest GPA in the School of Business Administration of all student athletes.
Mr. Ksebati’s passion for swimming extends to the pool deck, as he is currently a USA swim coach & club manager for the Grosse Pointe Gators Swim Club. His coaching experience includes prior positions at the Country Club of Detroit and the Village of Grosse Pointe Shores. He finds it rewarding mentoring the student-athletes he works with.
He is interested in the technology and photography sector. Mr. Ksebati has developed brand promotional strategies and creative executions for the start-up firm, SwimSpray, LLC as a Summer Marketing Associate in 2012. Later that fall, Mr. Ksebati produced a promotional video documenting the Detroit urban revitalization project on Grand River Avenue. As a creative artist, he has produced, filmed, and edited short films and media generating promotional campaigns for small business.
From 2007-2010, Mr. Fares Ksebati tested digital technologies for Panasonic, providing feedback on product integration and features as a part of their Living in HD program. In the summer of 2008, he was selected as a student ambassador and traveled to Beijing, China for three weeks.
Mr. Ksebati’s entrepreneurial spirit has grown as he approaches the completion of his undergraduate business degree. In 2012, he started HD Stroke Analysis, a sole-proprietorship aimed at delivering high definition swimming analysis to clients. Fares Ksebati will graduating in May 2013 with a BA in Marketing Management, and a minor in Economics.
