Hi, my name is Fares Ksebati, welcome to my website! I currently serve as the Co-Founder and CEO of MySwimPro – a mobile application that delivers individualized swim training and tracking for masters swimmers and triathletes who are focused on improving their performance and health.
I graduated summa cum laude from Wayne State University with a degree in Marketing Management. During my time at Wayne State, I developed brand promotional strategies and creative executions for entrepreneurial firms in a diverse set of industries. I have an analytical approach to solving problems and engaging audiences by building innovative content. I’ve been fortunate to work with a number of early-stage companies that are disrupting their industries. After completing my degree, I was accepted to the Challenge Detroit Fellowship program, which aims to build a new model for urban revitalization in Detroit.
My leadership was cultivated as a scholar-athlete on the Wayne State varsity-swimming program, where I served as captain in my senior season, and helped lead the squad to three consecutive conference titles. In USA swimming, I have competed in the State Championships, Sectionals, and a US Grand Prix. In May of 2013, I was fortunate to compete at the US Masters Nationals.
On deck, I have coached age group, senior and masters swimmers for over 6 years. As a stroke technician and swimming analyst, I am an avid student of the sport and enjoy mentoring swimmers of all ages. I started coaching with the Grosse Pointe Gators Swim Club in the fall of 2009. From 2011 to 2013, I served as the Club Manager of the 200+ member program increasing the program’s size and efficiency. In 2011 I coached the Grosse Pointe Shores Sharks in the Lakefront Swimming Association and in 2012-2013 I coached the Country Club of Detroit in the MICSA league. I am also a registered Michigan High School Swimming and Diving official.
Prior to starting MySwimPro, I worked as a Marketing Manager at Spirit Shop Inc., a Detroit Venture Partners backed start-up. I’ve also served as the executive producer of digital content for Challenge Detroit’s website and social media channels.
I enjoy pursuing an active lifestyle and living life through new experiences. Some of my fondest memories include traveling to China in the summer of 2008, and being selected to be apart of the Panasonic Living in HD program. I am inspired to share my experiences with others, and enjoy documenting my journey with the world!
